Went to the launch of Ten 8 Afterimage at #thenewartgallerywalsall last Thursday that was a fun blast from the past. Caught with @roshinikempadoo and got a glimpse of several others including neighbour @joy_gregory_studio Great show @pelumi.odubanjo and @deborah_curator Fun party too. I got drenched by red wine, not mine though. Had to skip the pub as the following morning was on to #theuniversityofportsmouth for #photoworks Photography X Archives by road to give a keynote and run an archive making workshop.
At the opening for Zurbarán at #thenationalgallerylondon last week with #husbandji. We got profiled for the first time at a British art institution, got pulled aside by security and quizzed about whether we knew where we were going… aside from that the show was good, although overcrowded viewing. And nearly all the men were white and in a suit and tie! The security guy was Afro-Caribbean. Our art museum EDI has yet to shift 😳
