A completely safe and peaceful march in Pasadena. It really filled my heart with pride to see so many people from all walks of life exercising their right to protest ❤ Let’s keep it going! #NoKings
Without any pomp or circumstance, Jack officially graduated college at the end of December and today “the proof” arrived in the mail. He has a BFA just like his old man before him ❤
12 year ago I came face to face with the King Of Comedy for the 2nd time in my life! What a night that was in 2013, here is what I had to say then "Just spent 4 hours with Jerry Lewis, it seemed like 15 minutes. I took tons of photos (over 300 shots) Personal highlight, Jerry chatted me up about my camera and how much he loves shooting with 35mm digital cameras "Canon 7D! What a god send, right?! I got 5 of them!"
The 1st time I came in contact with him was at the NCSA Summer School program in 1981, he had come to have a chat with the students, much like the event I was shooting for The Cinefamily. After the chat I went backstage to try and say hello, I had been working for years with the Muscular Dystrophy Association as a fundraiser and as a counselor at their summer camps. As he was leaving I finally got up the courage to say hello. I walked up next to him as he was making his way towards his waiting limo, I was wearing a MDA telethon button on my chest. He looked over at me and noticed the button and gave a sweet smile and put his arm around my shoulder and gave me a quick hug and said "Thank you" I was to say the least starstruck ❤️
Follow up with my oncologist today and my most recent PET/CT scan shows NO CANCER!! I will follow up regularly the next couple of years to keep a close watch and after 3 years clear I get to call myself Cancer Free™ YAY! NO CANCER!!! ❤️
Sadly this is becoming an evergreen sentiment... and past this, we continue to love, protect and fight for EVERYONE! (line reading as Gary Oldman in "Léon: The Professional") ❤
Throwback Thursday: Veins and Thumbtacks a play by Jonathan Marc Sherman @ LATC 1991 - I was working as the sound engineer of theater 3 when this whirlwind blew into our space. David Saint directing, and cast @fisherstevens , @elizabeth.berridge , Bruce MacVittie, Beatrice Manley w/ sound design by Jon Gottlieb. When the young couple (Beth and Fisher) get married in Vegas it includes a Polaroid photo of the nuptials, so by the end of the production we had a stack of the photos taken. I asked Beth and Fisher to sign my keepsake. Sorry, Beth I hope the statute of limitations has expired on your request ❤️ Another fond memory was turning Fisher on to "John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman" a great album of jazz standards I was playing in the theater between shows.
“What are you doing for your 60th Birthday?” Working on the backlot at Universal Studios - happily so. Thank you for all the swell birthday wishes from all over, such a lovely part of social media ❤️
Good news today from my oncologist! My lymph node is fully clear and the tonsil has a tiny bit of activity but at only a month after my last radiation treatment it’s expected as the treatments are still actively working in me even a month afterwards. I have a follow up scan in 3 months to see where everything is, but he says it’s all good news today, everything is looking as normal as can be expected 🩷
