Always love my time in the desert. I’m also really into popping a pajama top over a hot spring desert afternoon as a light layer that can take you into the evening and I love the contrast and more so the so so so many ways you can wear pajama tops as not JUST a pajama top to sleep in. This is one of my faves from @rubirosas_paris but you have to go to Paris to get that ! In the meantime other options until you can get to Paris and straight to Rue de Grenelle !!! Can’t wait to be there soon 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷❤️❤️❤️❤️
feeling especially blessed and grateful on this day. my gal who has navigated life through our adventures, with a sense of humour compassion and wit, and my pup who completed our little tribe bringing his own eccentric vibe to our band of three…. and especially to my mom, for breaking thru glass ceilings she didn’t even realize she was doing at the time, for being my rock my anchor and my guiding star in how to navigate this crazy life with empathy, kindness, intelligence and so much more. and of course for g without whom said kids would not exist. life can be bumpy but I am grateful for all of it ❤️❤️❤️❤️ nb: slide 14 … an arbiter of things to come neither of us can remember when she slid into my @commedesgarcons coat, used an iPod (coming back soon) and why she would have @oldceline box on her bed : music fashion and sleep things we cherish as well.
Anticipating with such excitement my upcoming travels to Istanbul to see my favorite sisters and work on the upcoming SS27 collection together and have some fun ! I adore Istanbul and have had the chance to visit several times now and experience the city thru the eyes and lens of @nackiye … when you have the chance to work with women (@basakanddefne ) who are so creative and you feel so authentically aligned from day 1 (aesthetically, emotionally, values), it’s truly a blessing which I never take for granted ! Having a front seat as we have developed the brand together over the past 5 years is a huge honor and a most exciting journey with so much road ahead … the brand is one I pull a piece from to wear pretty much every single day… there is a balance of whimsy and design rigor which makes it JUST RIGHT.
Istanbul is a treasure trove of culture, sights, sounds, smells, TASTES and each visit brings me a little closer to understanding this ancient modern juxtaposed culture and how it informs @nackiye in everything we do ! Also an added bonus is getting the most amazing photos taken by our dearest Tabitha @touristmagazine ! I cherish her perspective of me thru her lens… these photos are from an especially funny day we had from last October !
In my adult life time I’ve been through so many different skin regimens and products to figure out what works for me. 15-20 steps; 1 step; etc etc but the bottom line is finding products that work for you and that you will use regularly as part of a daily routine. And FACIALS !! That’s the key for me regular facials and a routine that works that you can stick with. These are products I adore that work for me. What are your favorites ? Environ has been a game changer for me and Dr D of course.

New York New York it’s a hell of a town, and it sure was shining in all of her glory for me last week !! My first visit in a long time when it wasn’t for fashion week, but was just as busy !!! Catching up with so many people over lunches drinks and dinners, very exciting work meetings, attending a gala, staying in the most glorious two terrace room at the Carlyle and seeing old friends after so long it was a real treat from start to finish. Of course never enough time ever to see everyone and do everything I wanted as always but it just means I need to be visiting MORE often ! NYC even though I am an LA girl now you are always in my heart as my first city love and this visit truly reminded me of that fact ! ❤️

One major highlight was attending the FIT Gala honoring Gap CEO Richard Dickson. The whole evening was inspiring and experiencing the magic at @therealsarahbonello@theparkfashion table as an FIT alum herself was brilliant and so much fun ! Two extremely inspiring leaders using their creativity and humanity to grow brands thru fostering culture community innovative product while always respecting the past to take us into the future; it was an evening for the books ! Paris felt different this time.
Having my daughter Chiara with me, now 18, and seeing my world through her perspective brought a new kind of meaning to it all.
She’s traveled with me before, but this time she was truly by my side in the meetings, the shows, and the in-between moments.
Fashion Week is always a whirlwind, but sharing it with her at this stage felt incredibly special.
A reminder that beyond the work, it’s the moments we share that stay with us. x ❤️❤️❤️
