Over the winter, and through the support of an @aceagrams funded DYCP project, Ramshacks Artistic Director Jack Stoddart has been exploring ideas around how to create, accessible live music and sound based work. In collaboration with Dave Webb (creative technologist), Pete Storer (Sound wizard) & Will Datson (maker of things) - Jack spent several months deeply exploring many creative technology ideas, culminating in standing up & prototyping a bunch of exciting, sensory, audio/visual ideas. Centred around an Ableton live music setup - Combining drums with midi triggered digital instruments, live brass and keys. Played & looped live within a surround sound set up. Coupled with a web of dangling light bulbs (75 in total) that interface with the live music set up in real time (through a bespoke coded programme). With a sensory, musical bench combining haptics, exciters and sub base to explore ways to separate out the sound frequencies to create a “felt” and nuanced mix of the heard audio. Ideas are hatching for new projects using these creative tech ideas!

Performances are @ 1.45pm & 5.45pm Show Location - Royal Victoria Docks, square in front of the Good Hotel.
