In honor of the @nasaartemis trip around the Moon today… one of my most prized prints. An autographed copy of “Earth Rise” by Bill Anders of Apollo 8 @apolloprogram
The new Astera Fresnel looks very interesting. The Leo “1K” in particular. Has anyone tested this versus a tungsten fresnel on camera? #astera /products/leofresnel/
They just recently released the original Apollo 11 footage in IMAX. And it is a top-3 Documentary for me. The clarity is unbelievable. The shot at :24 of Neil Armstrong is so clear its jarring / breathtaking they have such good 35mm film and IMAX film of all of this happening. I saw the 16mm Camera that filmed the actual moon landing and first walk at the Air & Space Museum’s remodeled floor - it's not the live TV version, but real Film that they landed back with and some poor soul was tasked with developing that film without messing it up... /watch?v=3Co8Z8BQgWc
Progression of my video cameras I work with. From my grandfather’s triple-lens 8mm, to my ARRI ALEXA Studio. Honorable mention for the RED Komodo, and URSA G2 that I used for years. It’s so cool to see them all together and side-by-side!
