This is why I am here to point your snouts to Ramen Jo - a hidden gem in Causeway Bay serving up some of the best ramen in Hong Kong.
Feedback from the group is the traditional hot ramen is really good but ladies and gents I am here to inform you that the Tsukemen - that plate of deliciously chewy noodles is one of the most texturally amazing things I have eaten in a while.
Hong Kong has some pretty good food. It also has some pretty good Japanese food. So if you’re on the lookout for either during your trip to Hong Kong then please go here because this my friends really has inked memory in my brain.

Michelin Star Ramen!🍜🛞⭐️
Ramen is my go-to comfort food, and there is truly nothing more beautiful to me than a big bowl of noodles, so I couldn’t wait to visit @ramenjo , a ridiculously rated ramen shop in Causeway Bay to see if it lived up to the hype.
Similar to the likes of Ichiran, you order via forms on the table which I loved as it allows you to customise your bowls exactly to you liking. We ordered:
- Chicken Gyoza
- Takoyaki
- Cappuccino Ramen
- Special Spicy Tseukemen
And various ad-ons including bamboo shoots, corn, and mushroom.
The noodles were cooked perfectly - super bouncy with great bite and a broth that was spicy but still wonderfully flavoured and not too one-note or oily. The pork was tender and not over-cooked, and the egg perfectly jammy and ripe for soaking up all of the broths delicious flavour.
Portions were generous and great value for the price, this is a spot I will be coming back to again and again when in Hong Kong for ramen that is more than deserving of its hype.⭐️ #hongkongeats #hongkongfood#hkfoodie #hkfood {invite}

The Wagyu TKM took me by surprise, it’s actually tasted much better than I expected. Though I didn’t understand the distinct difference between the two eggs but the sauce was truly magic. Unlike the Mazesoba I had before, the sauce is much lighter but I reckon it’s just the way I like it
and the chewiness of the noodles is heavenly. I need to come back for a second round😋

⭐️ creamy, rich and seriously umami 🍜
ramen jo in causeway bay is all about that umami hit! the creamy chicken broth (🐓) ramen was my fave, while the tsukemen had such a rich seafood depth. both were so satisfying in completely different ways 🤍 not to mention they’ve also been recommended by the michelin bib gourmand for the longest time 🥢 i def recommend checking it out and i’ll soon be going back for their lunch sets 😋

Before Ramen-ya Shima and Gyorai, I usually go to Ramen Jo whenever I’m in Causeway, because it offers plenty of choices and its quality is fairly consistent. Take their pork bone soy sauce ramen, for example—the broth is well-balanced and not too salty. The chashu is also simmered perfectly. It may not be full of surprises, but it’s reliable.
