As a creative powerhouse fueled by curiosity, ancestral memory, and radical imagination, my work flows across mixed media collage, installation, video, sound, and even fashion—rooted in transformation, healing, and connection. Through my practice, I dismantle and reassemble materials, histories, and ways of seeing. Everyday remnants—silk flower petals, discarded textiles, fragments of the past—become luminous forms that honor ancestral traditions of resourcefulness while challenging binaries and sparking dialogue. Each piece I create is a sanctuary, inviting wonder and deeper connections to ourselves and the world around us. Coordinated a site visit around NY Art Week and caught @154artfair and @newartdealers fairs. Missed @friezeofficial but great time overall! Much needed break in my routine and fuel in the inspo bucket to keep going. The connections and relationship building was also in full effect…of course! Got plenty to keep me focused and busy.

I’ve been sitting with this story for a long time. Now I’m ready to share it. Finding the Light: An Interdisciplinary Art and Oral History Project on the Legacy of HIV/AIDS is here. It’s a series of real, unfiltered conversations with people whose lives have been shaped by HIV/AIDS. I created it because I believe everyone knows someone living with or lost to this epidemic, even if they don’t realize it yet. I’m also the first interview. I’ve been positive since 2011. I talk about the day I found out, the years after, what dating looked like, why I didn’t tell my parents for over a decade, and why I now consider my diagnosis one of the best things that ever happened to me.
