Lyrics?? Lyrics!!
I can get down bad, never good at being guarded
Building you up just to tear it down
I like the way it feels when I finished what I started
Forgive me digging in my heels
Itās a cherry shame on me
Cherry shame on me
Dive bar dogs and martian gold are all Iām chasing lately
Survive my whims and trust my luck
Iāve got fire burning scars on places deep inside me
You can try, but you canāt put it out
Itās a cherry shame on me
Cherry shame on me
Well I know you want to
And you know I want it too
Why wait around
Iām done waitin around
Itās a cherry shame on me
Cherry shame on me
Shame on me
Yeah, shame on me
Iām done waitinā around
Why you waitinā around
2 weekends ago, Lost & Found in Albany hosted a massive lineup of local artists, presented by No One You Know Presents (with support from our very own TJ Foster, Rory Graham and The Sugar Holdās Mikey Baish). 15 artists came together to perform in benefit of 518 Capital Region Sanctuary Coalition, who are providing invaluable support to our local immigrant communities. The show collected donations at the door, as well as via a selection of curated raffles.
The artists on hand were Girl Love, Caity Gallagher, Chris Gockley, Simon Elijah, Sydney Worthley, Question of the Century, Horsegrenades, JB!! aka Dirty Moses, Lucas Garrett, The Sugar Hold, Nocturnne, and Metroland staffers Andy Scullin, TJ Foster and James Mullen. It was a whopper of a show, which means it deserves a whopper of a gallery. Elissa Ebersold, Tom Miller and Debi Gustafson were all on hand to capture the festivities. View their galleries on our website!
Last week, Katie Leach and Debi Gustafson trekked down to Basilica Hudson for a reading and conversation with Melissa Auf der Maur surrounding her new memoir, Even the Good Girls Will Cry. They were regaled with tales from her time playing with Hole and The Smashing Pumpkins, alongside readings from the next generation of creative women. Read all about it over on our website, now!
Sabrina Trueheart was back at No Fun this time with her full band, Crimson Retro, along with a dreamy lineup of artists presented by Byrdhouse Records. The Greetings got the night going followed by the melancholic vibes of Catmospheric whose harp made the room turn quiet instantly. Next up, Billy and the Great Western Postal Service got everyone dancing before Sabrina and Crimson Retro took the stage. Their psychedelic, vintage vibes filled the space and rounded out a night of music that felt like an ethereal journey through space and time.
