The Long Loop Rally is coming to an end as we are nearly at Calais! 🚄
On our way north we passed through the Pyrenees and were held up by 100's of sheep! (swipe to see the carnage!) 🐑⛰️
The campsites we've stayed at have all been wonderful! They've had swimming pools and an ample supply of wine! (& chickens too!)🍷

Morocco to (S)pain ⛴️
We are now back in Europe and on our way home! 🏡
Leaving Morocco was painful to say the least...😭
Due to the summer holidays (and us seemingly picking the day EVERYONE leaves Morocco), we ended up queueing for over 5 hours to cross the border AND missed our ferry! 😫
THANKFULLY the ferry company understood our struggle and put us onto the next one or else that would've been extremely expensive! 🙏
Once in Spain, we then drove onwards to the wonderful @chrismi3th who was going to put us up for a couple of nights! 😴
But due to our previous delay, we arrived in the early hours of the morning after pushing right through the night and immediately fell asleep! 😅
Since then, we have been spending time with Chris & Ron (and Mickey the Cat) for the last two days! 🥰
They've been wonderful hosts. We've been able to just relax and have a good time - we can't thank them enough! 💆♂️💆♀️💆
Today we make our way north through Spain as we head towards the Eurotunnel and begin to conclude our adventure! 🚄 🥹

Madness in Morocco! 🇲🇦
Hello everyone! 👋
It's been a while since we've updated you! Apologies...we have been pretty busy! 😅
Previously on the Long Loop Rally... 🔁
We were in Italy, we then zoomed through Spain and headed to the south coast and caught a ferry over to Africa! ⛴️
We are now in Morocco, seeing the sights and taking in ALL the smells! (mainly bad ones, swipe to see how we've been coping 🤢)
Our first stop was Chefchaouen, aka "The Blue City"! 🔵
A magical place that was blue through and through! 🔷
Our next stop was Fes! Here we explored a beautiful Medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site! 🤯
The streets were SO confusing we would've got lost instantly if it wasn't for our wonderful tour guide! 🙏
More Morocco to come before we return back to Europe and make our way home! 🚗🏡

Pizza, Pasta & Pesto 🇮🇹
We're currently exploring the wonderful west coast of Italy! 🏖️
We started in Sicily and then continued our way north, towards Naples! ⛰️
We drove along the Amalfi coastline and it was stunning but incredibly busy... 🚗🚗🚗
We didn't know it but it was a national holiday here in Italy! Which would explain the traffic, but as a bonus the last few nights have all ended with a flurry of fireworks! 🎇
Along the way we stayed at some wonderful campsites, one of our favourites being @thevalleyitaly ! 🥰
This lovely site was incredible, full of animals and gets our seal of approval! Definitely check it out if you're in the area!! 👏
Our lovely hosts greeted us with a delicious selection of figs and they even brewed their own wine! 🍾
Naturally we HAD to try both the red & white... which some of us might be regretting it a little this morning! 🤢
We've got a couple more days in Italy and our plan today is to reach Pisa for some pizza! 🍕

Tunisia, more like RUINisia! 🇹🇳
Tunisia has been lovely and we've been surprised by the vast impressive Roman ruins available to explore! 😮
First up on our Roman ruin tour was El Jem, an ancient ampetheatre so large it makes the coliseum in Rome blush! 😳
We also visited an ancient Roman villa followed by an ancient Roman bath house - both long overdue for some renovations! 🛠️
Amazingly, these structures have been preserved so well that along some columns you clearly read the inscriptions made thousands of years ago! 🤯
And now after all that we're in Europe again! It was a long 14 hour ferry but we are finally back in Italy, officially our 20th time crossing a border on this rally! 🇮🇹

Camels, camels and camels! 🐫
We've been absolutely loving our time in Tunisia! 🇹🇳
We started yesterday off with a nerd pilgrimage to the home of Luke Skywalker! 🚀
We visited the set of his home in the original trilogy and it was fantastic! (Christopher still hasn't settled down after this visit) 😅
After that we crossed Chott el Djerid, a dried up salt lake! 🏜️
We were blown away by how expansive it was, no signs of life anywhere and witnessing mirages for ourselves! 😮
And if the day couldn't get better, we drove past multiple signs saying ⚠️ "Camels crossing - beware!" ⚠️
The excitement was real... and then it happened! Camels crossed!! Swipe to see the camel crew!! 🐪🐫🐪

"Alexa! Play Africa by Toto!" 🌍
It's been a LONG 2 days but we've made it to Africa and we're in Tunisia! 🇹🇳
To get here we took a ferry from Sicily that took over 11 hours, and if we're honest it was pretty awful! 😫
Completely crowded with people asleep on any flat surface, kids crying and adults yelling - certainly a test of endurance! 🥵
Luckily we found ourselves a quiet corner, hunkered down and it wasn't long until we all fell asleep... 😪
As we reached the port of Tunis, we met 3 sisters who were heading home after visiting family Sicily and they gave us recommendations of things to do (and don't!) in Tunisia! 🙏
They even noticed our puddles of sweat and kindly gave us a fan to help ease our suffering! 😂

Thankfully we made it through the Tunisian border in one piece, then settled into our B&B and headed out for dinner! 🍛
We went to a restaurant that was full of locals and cigarette smoke, which gave us hope that it's a great food spot! 🤞
We met the owner and he talked us through the menu. He told us one of the items was a local delicacy - Bull testicles 🐂 (swipe to see some beautiful balls)
... obvs David felt he HAD to try it! 🫣
And to everyone's surprise (especially his) it was delicious! The sauce it was served was sublime! 👀
10/10 can recommend! 😂
Today we are heading further south! But it's getting hotter and hotter so please pray we don't melt! 🔥

Croatian Cruising! 🇭🇷
Yesterday we travelled along the Adriatic coastline from Montenegro to Croatia! ⛱️
Once in Croatia, we stayed at a cute seaside village Zuljana for some EXTREME water sports! 🌊
We traded Zayn for 3 jet-skis (a BARGAIN) and zoomed as fast as we could into the horizon - it was so much fun...and terrifying! 🫣🚣🚣♀️🚣♂️
After that we attempted an inflatable assault course, designed for kids...and failed GLORIOUSLY!!🙃 (More total failure than Total Wipeout 😂)
But despite the embarrassment, this was a lot of fun too! 😅
Who knew making a fool of yourself in front of 5 year olds builds up your appetite?! 😋
We ended the day with delicious local Croatian food - a lovely day all round! 🍛

Albania, Montenegro & Croatia! 🇦🇱🇲🇪🇭🇷
It's been a while since our last update but we've been crossing borders like nobody's business! 🛃
We've gone from Greece to Albania where we hit the 6,000 mile mark!👏
To celebrate we spent a relaxing night at an Albanian hotel, where some AWFUL food decisions were made by David! (Do NOT order "young chicken" if you can help it... even if it sounds hilarious 🤢)
Then from Albania we drove along the coast of the Adriatic Sea, making our way to magnificent Montenegro! 🇲🇪
We camped 60m from the beach and met a wonderful German couple who were doing something similar to our road trip - but were CYCLING instead! 🚴🚴♀️🤯
Today we make our way from Montenegro further along the Adriatic coastline and into Croatia! 🇭🇷
