CONNECTION One of the most rewarding aspects of KBIS is never just the products, the launches, or even the trends. It’s the people. Every year at the kitchen and bath industry show I’m reminded that design is, at its core, about connection. Getting to meet so many talented, driven, and genuinely inspiring professionals, each with their own journey, perspective, and passion, is what truly energizes me. Hearing the stories behind the brands. Listening to the path that led someone into the luxury home space. Learning what excites them about where design is headed next. Those conversations matter. There’s something powerful about standing in the middle of innovation, surrounded by emerging materials, evolving technologies, and bold aesthetics, and being able to translate those shifts into meaningful dialogue about the future of the luxury home. This year, the themes felt clear: intentionality, elevated minimalism, tactile materials, and deeply personal spaces. But more than trends, what stood out was the shared commitment to craftsmanship and experience. Design isn’t just about what we create. It’s about the conversations we spark and the relationships we build along the way. Grateful for every handshake, every story shared, and every discussion about where luxury living is headed next. Until next time, KBIS. ✌🏼

THE DETAILS ✨ At KBIS 2026, we redefined what it means to create an iconic kitchen, designing a space where every material, finish, and reveal is intentional. A refined composition of soft neutrals, layered textures, and understated elegance that whispers sophistication rather than shouting for attention. Within this serene backdrop, thoughtful moments of artistry create depth and distinction. At the heart of the design is the Titanium Designer Collection that I created for Monogram. A suite of appliances that transforms into sculptural statements. The titanium finish adds a jewelry-like quality, bringing richness and modern refinement while integrating into the calming palette. Complementing the titanium collection is the custom cabinetry I designed with Bentwood. Highly bespoke and classical, the cabinetry showcases impeccable craftsmanship, clean lines, warm heritage and a tailored precision that anchors the space. Open any cabinet to reveal a thoughtful storage solution, highlighted with our signature iconic red interiors. A bold pop of color that delivers that unforgettable moment. Taking that wow and utility further was the integrated drawer lighting. I first coined my red interiors at KBIS more than eleven years ago! A detail has become a defining hallmark of my work. It’s a reminder that truly iconic design lives in the nuances, in the contrast between restraint and boldness, and in the unexpected moments that make a space not just beautiful, but memorable. It’s all in the details.

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT | RICHARD T. ANUSZKIEWICZ Following a strong presence at @kbis_official 2026, @richarda2z has officially launched @raith.design Design, a new creative studio rooted in precision, materiality and experiential interiors. Based in Nashville, the studio reflects Anuszkiewicz’s background in millwork, cabinetry and architectural detail, combining craft-led thinking with a contemporary approach to technology and design development. With experience spanning residential interiors, product design and luxury environments, RAITH positions itself at the intersection of artistry and function, where every material choice and spatial decision is considered within a broader narrative. As the industry continues to shift towards deeply personal, material-driven spaces, the launch marks a considered next chapter for one of KBIS’s most recognisable creative voices.

‘26 TRENDS, Let’s go… Kitchens in 2026 are no longer rooms, they’re reveries. Living galleries where function dissolves into feeling. Here’s what’s shaping the culinary atelier now: • Patterned & Stone Tile Floors - Art underfoot. • Warm, Textured Finishes - Touch is the new sheen. • Statement Appliances - Jewelry for the kitchen. • Marble Detailing - Veins beyond the counter. • Tone-on-Tone Palettes - Color, whispered or drenched. • Sculptural Islands - A centerpiece, reimagined. • Decorative Vent Hoods - Airflow as architecture. • Kitchens That Don’t Feel Like Kitchens - They are living rooms. • Traditional Touches - Ornament returns. • Back / Dirty Kitchens - Luxury behind the curtain. • Expressive Details - Personality in the punctuation. • Built-In Bars - Lifestyle meets libation. In 2026, the kitchen is not designed. It is composed.

New York Times! Induction or gas: which do I prefer? It’s a question I’ve been getting a lot lately. Cooking has always been about precision, ease, and creativity for me, and that’s exactly why induction cooktops have captured my attention. The speed, the efficiency, the sleek design… it feels like the future of the kitchen. I love how induction lets you dial in heat instantly while keeping the cooking environment cleaner. It really changes the experience of being at the range. What’s been exciting is seeing how many home cooks and chefs alike are creating conversation about induction. Induction isn’t just a trend, it’s becoming a new standard as more people look for performance, sustainability, and modern design in their kitchens. Honored to be featured and to share some perspective on this growing segment. Thank you NYT for the feature and for spotlighting the conversation around how popular induction is getting.

What’s New? Kitchens are continuing to evolve into spaces that go far beyond function. In my recent conversation on 2026 kitchen trends, we explored how the heart of the home is becoming a place for visual storytelling, artistic expression, and deeper connection. Today’s kitchens are embracing bold color, layered materials, and a sense of geometric rhythm that creates energy while still feeling intentional and livable. What excites me most is the growing confidence people have in designing spaces that reflect individuality. We’re seeing craftsmanship, surface, light, and form working together to create environments that are not only practical, but emotionally resonant and spaces that inspire everyday living. I’m grateful to House Beautiful for the thoughtful dialogue and for spotlighting how creativity continues to shape the future of kitchen design. Honored to be part of the conversation.

Trending 🙌🏼 Big shout out to Luxe for the thoughtful conversation on where the kitchen is headed. What resonated most was the return to intention: rooms designed not for spectacle, but for living. The emphasis on layered materials, restrained palettes, and purposeful technology reflects a deeper understanding of how kitchens truly function. For me a kitchen is architecture, a natural gathering space, and of course the heart beat of the home. It’s encouraging to see design experts speak less about trends for trend’s sake, and more about longevity, craftsmanship, and the subtle choreography between form and use. A well-designed kitchen should feel inevitable, shaped by clarity and restraint rather than excess. Thank you, Luxe, for continuing to elevate the dialogue and remind us that good design is not loud. It’s precise.

COVER STORY 🤩 I am profoundly grateful to Nashville Interiors Magazine for their support and for the care they brought to telling the story of Raith Design. The feature reflects my journey with honesty and intention, tracing not only my work, but the life experiences and sixteen years in the design industry that have shaped how I see, create, and build. Looking back, I hold a deep appreciation for everything that has brought me to this moment. The years of learning, the quiet persistence, and the trust earned along the way have all led here. Yet this moment feels less like a destination and more like a beginning. With time comes clarity, and with clarity comes a renewed sense of purpose for what lies ahead. Nashville has become an integral part of that story. It is a place that welcomed me, challenged me, and allowed me to grow. Here, I found community, meaningful relationships, and clients who trusted me with their homes and their stories. This city has given me a sense of belonging, and for that I am endlessly thankful. As Raith Design steps forward, I feel inspired by what is unfolding and by the energy carrying us into 2026. Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey and believed in this vision. I am grateful beyond words, and excited to continue building what comes next.
