Donned in baba’s shirt, trying to carry his legacy of keeping the feet rooted, and the head held high, looking back at the past owning all the failures and mistakes, yet eager to keep moving on against the strong high tides.
Draped in maa’s Saree, trying to carry her legacy to keep fighting, however strong the adversities are, to take care and nourish everyone around, to be fierce silently, to keep a cool head and yet panic a bit at the same time but to keep moving on. They taught me to be strong yet vulnerable, to find happiness in beautiful seconds amongst the dark years, to celebrate every achievement however small or however failure it may seem, to embrace the results of every decision I make, be it a wonder or a disaster, to value every person around me. They taught me to be thankful, grateful about every person and every situation.
They taught me to be fiercely independent and strong. They taught me to laugh, to enjoy. They taught me to love, to be loved, to feel loved, to feel safe and secure.
They taught me to be me.
