I recorded this a few hours before typing this. As a reminder, and as a product, and as a person of color. White in background and red in skin before it all fades.
It doesn’t matter as long as you care, like really actually care, enough. The people and the work and the memories all follow naturally, thoroughly. Take action each day, and do so with the intention of making your own world a better place. Evil looms in every corner.
As we enter the age of collapse
Our parents mourn the achievements of the old world. Our children learn to harness pain and grief as fuel for hope.
Trying my best to feel it
Closing my eyes and trying my very very best to feel the pain and fear and suffering from across thousands of miles. Imagining my parents as theirs. Looking around a concrete room crying and waiting, ignoring the background noise.
I’ve never felt it. I shouldn’t and I probably won’t. But I want to understand. I believe we all deserve the same fate. It won’t be fair for a very long time. I have to find that same pain within arms reach and alleviate that instead. It’s all I can do for now.
