founded in 1987, @twobootspizza is named after the two “boots” on the map: italy and louisiana ❤️🔥it’s the perfect collision of combinations that sound wrong, until they aren’t. inside, the red booth & mosaic interior always agrees with me. it reminds me a little of uptown girls, but a little more funky and real.
i always get the cleopatra jones -sweet italian sausage, roasted peppers, red onions, mozzarella: the right kind of excess. the vegan slices also somehow don’t taste vegan at all (???) which feels like a small miracle. the chicken sliders and garlic knots are dangerous territory. like, you think you’re just getting a slice and suddenly you’re a fully committed ✨ carb princess ✨
i always end up staying longer than planned, sometimes pulling out a pack of cards. at some point it starts to feel slightly cinematic. like i could be in a late 90s music video. just a girl at a table, pretending to look more important than she is, the city creating the perfect background noise.
i leave feeling like i didn’t miss anything by staying ❤️🔥
