Still a work in progress. 72”x 48” #oilonlinen Gibsons beach in #saggaponack 3:15 September. A complete evolution that started in B/W and slowly moved to color and people have come and gone in this painting. Trying to capture the feeling of the place I call my paradise and its special place in my heart. More people to add and final touches in color and values.

This is an unusual narrative painting for me, but I can’t stay silent in what is happening to our country. I am so disturbed and disappointed in the state of the world due to our government and its actions that ripple a horrible wave of destruction and greed in order to gain a power that will go down in history as the demise of democracy and empathy for the human race. However, I still believe that we can make a change towards a unified future that can find a place in our hearts to take a path of love and empathy for every living being in this tiny spec or time we live in. Praying for that time.
SOLD So grateful to have my favorite painting in a very happy home. I spent a lot of time on this painting and it meant so much to me to capture the man that had such a huge impact on my life. It was a struggle to finish it as he passed while I was in the middle of it. My heart was broken, but I pushed through it to reveal a spirit that was more powerful than I imagined.
