🌱 Growing Together isn’t just a tagline — it’s how we do business. Erin & Aaron of @raindropfarms in Philomath, Oregon, have seen firsthand how Rooted Farmers continues to evolve to meet the real needs of farmers. 💬 “We have been using Rooted to sell our flowers, and we can confidently say this platform stands out for its ease of use and seamless integration into our operations. We have been particularly impressed with Rooted’s commitment to continuously iterate and develop solutions that meet the needs of our farm business and others like it!” We’re grateful to grow alongside incredible farms like theirs. #GrowingTogether #RootedFarmers

Lisianthus 'Feminine' is a new spray type from Sumika, seen here grown by Erin & Aaron of @raindropfarms in Philomath, Oregon. Feminine provides growers with sprays of mini, delicate flowers in the highly sought-after shade of soft, blushy pink. The bloom group number for this series is currently unknown, but the first reports from our customers suggest they are early, perhaps Group 1 or 2. Order Lisianthus and all spring 2026-shipped plugs and perennials beginning at Noon ET on October 1. It's high summer, but planning ahead now will mean a lush harvest next year.

Getting to visit the Seattle Wholesale Growers Market during the peak of dahlia season was a treat and encouragement on a level I didn’t know possible! 🌸 At the Slow Flowers Summit last July, Agnes and I listened to a presentation from CFN in Edmonton on starting a Co-op and how a small group of florists and farmers got together to make it happen from the ground up. But seeing it all in person, every stem of locally grown flowers filling that cooler… man.. it was incredible. 🩷 My Feliciana Flower Farmer Friends (😉) are working this out on a tiny scale, coordinating together to supply a few florists, but most are arranging what excess they grow and have to be cautious to not over produce since we don’t have a local wholesale structure for purchasing locally grown flowers at this level. 🌸 Louisiana friends, imagine walking into our local wholesaler and the cooler is packed full of LOCALLY GROWN, fresh from the field flowers, product that doesn’t ship well, sustainable-foot-forward, GORGEOUSNESS. If that sounds like a pipe dream to you, I’m here to shout it, WE CAN DO THIS. The tides are swelling, let’s not miss the first (dozen) waves. ✌️ 🩷 My purchase included flowers from at least 9 different flower farms. I’m tagging them below. I also have to mention as an aside that I ran into Diane from Jello Mold, and had a little celebrity sighting moment as I geeked out. Diane, thank you for being so kind and not running. 🤣 @dvf_flowers @everydayflowers_farmer @freerange.flowers @inbloomflowerfarm @jellomoldfarm @laflorfarm @leximaradesign @ojeda_farms @raindropfarms 🌸 ok last thing— to get to arrange with pink agrostemma AT THE END OF JULY was a treat for this 104* Louisiana floral designer. Thank you Delameter Valley Farms for that gorgeous, gorgeous bunch of wispy and wonderful blooms.

Love is the beauty of a vibrant garden rose 🩷🌹💕 Like many accomplished flower farmers, Erin McMullen and Aaron Gaskey began as food growers who discovered the economic benefits of raising cut flowers. Rain Drop Farms began as a family hobby and vacation fund, but after more than two decades developing their Philomath, Oregon-based farm venture, the coujple has transitioned form selling mixed bouquets at farmers’ markets to supplying professional wedding and event florists who shop at farmer-owned wholesale cooperatives in Portland and Seattle. “We haev tried to stay fairly diversified as we’ve been conscientious about growing in-demand flowers,” Aaron says. Erin agrees, describing Rain Drop Farms as a “boutique flower farm where we want to grow the highest quality products.” The farm is situated in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range, outside of Corvallis, they grow an array of perennials and annuals, including garden roses and dahlias. Specialty foliages, such as Oregon-grown eucalyptus and scented geranium, as well as more coveted items like lisianthus, delphinium, peonies, and sweet peas, help to keep florists interested and coming back for more. ‘The Flower Farmers’ book is available for purchase May 6th, (link in bio to preorder today) 📖💐🌱 Farm: @raindropfarms Photographer: Emma May Lowery | @emma_may_lowery #slowflowerssociety #bloomimprint #theflowerfarmers #gardenrose #gardenroses #sustainableflowers #floraleducation #flowerbook #flowerfarming #flowerfarmers

I just returned from a trip to Italy with my mom to find that the peonies are blooming! Every year we hope to have them for Mother's Day and this year they almost made it for Easter. There will be some buckets available in our cooler at the @oregonflowergrowers Monday morning, so go grab them! #peonies #raindropflowers #portlandflowers
