after a few years of solo endeavours and at a time where both felt frustrated with the state of the world, Jay and I got in the studio simply to vent out. no planning, no expectation of what we wanted to make and just a genuine will to express. with a few exchanges, we came out with Eyes Wide Shut. it was a way to address how we both felt about the current state of the world without filtering and without trying to fit into the standards of what a tune should be. everything you hear was recorded in that first session and within a couple of hours.
This release marks the first release on Not So Deep. A place to home electronic projects from various influences with a raw and concious message shaped by the underground.

the term âconspiracy theoryâ became popular because it was useful. a label for claims that explained events through secret plots, and later a dismissive way to frame those claims as irrational or paranoid. so the things that were too bizarre for you to believe got labelled as a conspiracy to debunk the harsh realities they actually are. Whatâs funny tho is that the same class that manipulated this term also controls what you eat, what you see and all you consume. And the sad truth is weâve become so numb and accustomed to it that we obey without questioning. You stop to notice the cage when youve been in it your whole life. my new track Eyes Wide Shut feat. numbers on headlines have become metrics we scroll past. and the ones that do register, we forget about by the next news cycle. is it even just the volume weâre numb to, or the value we also selectively put on particular lives.
