Please join us as we take our signature Sip & Scent concept to help support the community. Mocktails and soft drinks will be available as we are a sober friendly venue, and a portion of all proceeds for the evening will be donated to support VOC. I’m no stranger to hate in my comments section. Every time I run an ad, the same crowd shows up with extreme religious takes, bigotry, and general “nobody cares” energy. This was a tiny test run to see if running ads was worth it since I have some support from the City of Rochester via a small business grant. however i doubt I'll support Meta long term because this is their idea of engagement. Anyway... For a long time, I deleted, hid, and quietly moderated it all. I didn’t want my community to have to see that ugliness. But I’ve realized something: hiding it doesn’t make it go away, it just makes it easier for bigots to pretend this isn’t happening. So from now on, I’m done cleaning up their mess. If you come onto a queer‑owned page to spew hate, your comment is staying right where you put it. Let everyone see who you are. Let everyone see us clap back. Let everyone see that queer joy, small business, and community are not going anywhere.
