Long overdue, here are some pictures of last year's exhibition, called "Bauchgefühl". I am grateful to have shared it with amazing and sensitive artists and friends: a thoughtful and poetic video installation by Manuela Aguilar @manuaguilarv , a performance based on that work, voiced by Cat Jones @bycatjones and a beautiful live cello performance by Guido Kohn @kidogohn Together we raised funds at the bar for Palestine. Thank you all for your love, time and presence. I'll be sharing more snapshots of it soon :)

Hoy despedimos a Albita y no encuentro una foto pero tengo esta pintura del 2015 donde la recuerdo jugando a la conga en días de lluvia sentada al lado de Nel en las viviendas. Qué felicidad haber sido testigo de tanto de su amor, su alegría, sus preocupaciones y su culito inquieto que siempre quería cocinarte o darte de comer. Tengo el corazón lleno de la mejor tortilla de papa, tarta de carne, tortafritas, fideitos, heladito, de Albita diciéndote “dejá eso”, de Albita poniendo voces, de Albita bailando tangos de Darienzo con absoluta chochera, leyendo el diario y los zócalos de la tele en voz alta, rezándole a Pantaleoncito, de Albita dando vueltas con el repasador, preocupándose por sus vecinos, por su familia, por mí, de Albita haciéndome té de níspero y azúcar quemada cuando me enfermaba, de verla tomando chocolate caliente, de las mantitas tejidas tan abrigadas en invierno, del olor de su casa, de sus manos, de la lotería, de las reposeras, de los dragones. Agradecida con mi amiga Camila y su familia que tuvieron la generosidad de prestarme a sus abuelitos tantos años y me dejaron ser testigo de todo eso que es invaluable.

This is are some pieces of an artwork composed of many. When I made it I was thinking about losing homes and repurposing feelings. How incredibly lucky and privileged to be able to experience loss in peaceful ways, to be able to mourn, to be able to draw and cut paper into pieces and paste it somewhere, to gather found maps, to retrace my borders and look at pictures in silence, to store my paintings, books and magazines safely, to be able to come back to them.
