To see the country from the window of a moving van is truly one of my favorite things in the world. It reminds me that I play such a small part in this timeline—that so many have come before me, and so many will exist after me.
To be a touring musician is a wild life. One day you’re on cloud nine, and the next you’re completely depleted, fighting off a constant negative monologue trying to tell you that you aren’t good enough or aren’t getting enough likes on your dumb Instagram post (let the self-deprecation commence).
This career is a gift. It’s communal. It’s vulnerable. It’s a constant state of growth. Man, am I lucky to get to do it—but sometimes it nearly takes me out.
We’ve got just a few shows left of this final Lovesick tour, and playing the show is what I absolutely look forward to the most! Are you coming to a show on the east coast?
The last photo will be me at the end of tour.
