In 2016, Rimple and Harpreet entered the realm of costume design and the ensuing research for the period dramas Padmaavat and Heeramandi became the catalyst that fired the designers’ desire for creating accessible fine jewellery which is rooted in nostalgia and has an inherent timelessness.
Countless visits to museums and archives around the country as well as the interactions with various artisans during their research led to the discovery that silver has been used since time immemorial by Indian royalty due to its calming and healing properties, a fact which resonated deeply with Rimple and Harpreet. And thus, a collection of heirloom and vintage inspired pieces crafted in silver for the modern, discerning woman came into being.
At RAH Jewels, Rimple and Harpreet have worked closely with various artisans and craft clusters in and around Jaipur, Udaipur, Kolkata and Hyderabad to design and develop a range that is not merely about preserving the past; it is about reimagining it, breathing new life into it, and carrying its spirit forward. Our jewels are not for fleeting moments; they are for eternity.
