I’m posting this here so that anyone who needs it has easy access whenever they need it. You know, for those conversations when people talk about the boy crisis in education without talking about male flight, power, and economics. Or the male loneliness crisis, without talking about men offloading emotional life and care to women as prosthetics so they can more efficiently compete with each other. Or when people argue that women have taken over the world and that feminism is hurting men, rather than look at systems run by men that are causing their pain and . Or that misandry is “the same” as misogyny. As I write in All We Want is Everything, the organizing principle of male supremacy is not, first and foremost, about oppressing women but about dominating other men and using supremacist beliefs —misogyny, xenophobia, racism, homophobia, etc. to do it. This is a meeting between the US and China, the world’s two largest economies, there’s not one woman from either country at this table. This picture is from the Guardian. Headline on second slide. Mind you, it doesn’t say that this is male supremacy, etc., etc. It just says that “some” say it is.

This Guardian article is one of the small handful I’ve seen about this terrible fact.

I really loved being in conversation with @sorayachemaly @ragebecomesher - exploring maternal anger, regret, fears we’re damaging our children, patriarchal motherhood, and the pressures modern mothers are carrying. . A conversation about what happens when mothers are expected to hold everything together, all the time - and what can shift when we begin meeting ourselves with more compassion and less shame - ending on what helps us hold onto hope in difficult times. . 💜And as always, I’d really love to hear what our conversation brought up for you.

New Substack post about how we socialized boys for the past and girls for for future. No one, no society, prepared men for women decentering men, changes in relative status, and their effects on gender roles and relations. Many parents have protected boys from this shift, opting to teach most how to be men in much the same way their fathers and grandfathers were taught. Every generation of girls, on the other hand, had to adapt to a new reality. Please give it a read (yes, it’s long, lol, but there is audio!) and a share if you find it useful! Link in profile.
