🤝 During the Red Arrows’ visit to Montenegro, we had the opportunity to bring together women contributing to the security and defence sector, and to open an important discussion on careers, challenges and opportunities in this field.
🏅 We were particularly pleased that the discussion was led by Wg Cdr Sasha Nash, Commanding Officer of the Red Arrows, whose experience and journey through the Royal Air Force clearly demonstrate that leadership, professionalism and commitment are universal values.
🙋♀️ Participants exchanged experiences on what a career in this sector looks like, what it takes to progress, and how important it is for institutions to create space for diverse perspectives and approaches.
The United Kingdom 🇬🇧 and Montenegro 🇲🇪 share a commitment to strengthening the role of women in peace and security, and conversations like this contribute to deeper understanding and continued cooperation.

As Montenegro approaches 20 years of independence, the United Kingdom is proud to stand alongside a close friend and ally, celebrating a partnership that has grown stronger over the past two decades and continues to evolve today.

Arriving at Podgorica as we make our way across mainland Europe to begin the final phase of pre-season training.
It’s great to be back in Montenegro after the Red Arrows’ first-ever visit to the country last year.
The short stopover is a valuable opportunity to further engage with the Montenegrin Armed Forces and to work alongside allies within NATO.
