Nigeria 🇳🇬, we’re live🚀
NALA is now licensed as an IMTO and directly integrated with NIBSS.
This means:
⚡ Faster transfers
🔒 More reliable payments
💸 Lower costs over time
This is a big step toward building the financial infrastructure Africans deserve seamless, accessible, and built for how money actually moves.
More to come.

8 weeks in, and we’re just getting started 🌍
Is it really mid-February already? 🤯 We’ve been so busy launching in 6 new countries and opening our first India office that we realized we never properly celebrated the massive wins of 2025.
How we leveled up last year:
📈 Record Revenue: Our biggest year in history (doubled the business YoY!).
🦊 Rafiki 30x: Our newest product line grew thirty-fold, partnering with some of the world’s largest banks.
💳 NALA 3.0: Launched Multicurrency accounts and Wallets to give you total control of your money.
🌍 New Frontiers: Secured regulatory nods in Pakistan, Nepal, Ethiopia, and Ghana.
So, what’s on the roadmap for the rest of 2026? 🗺️
We’re going all-in on Stablecoins, global collections for businesses, and launching multi-currency accounts in Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda very soon.
15% of the year is gone, but 100% of our focus is on building the best payment experience for you.

Trust is the most valuable currency in global payments. 💸
We're excited to share that NALA has been independently assessed by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and validated as PCI DSS compliant with zero non-conformities and zero corrective actions. 🔥
Compliance isn’t a checkbox for us. It’s the foundation that lets us scale trust with speed. #TheNextBillion
We asked part of the NALA Nairobi team to describe the company in one word.
The result? A powerful snapshot of who we are, what we value, and the people building NALA every day.

Cheers to more memories in 2026! 🥂

I remember the first time I visited Uganda, I was given the nickname Kayungilizi 😀
Today, I’m excited to announce we have received Payment Service Provider (PSP) and Payment System Operator (PSO) licences from the Central Bank of Uganda, alongside our existing Money Remittance licence.
This positions NALA as one of the few companies fully licensed across the core layers of Uganda’s regulated payments infrastructure — and enables us to go much deeper on what matters next.
With these approvals, we’re building:
• Global and diaspora accounts for our consumers.
• Collections and payouts for global businesses via Rafiki.com
• Real-time cross-border payments
• Trade flows into and out of Uganda, connected directly to global payment networks
Huge thanks to the Bank of Uganda for their rigorous oversight and leadership in shaping a secure, innovative, and future-ready payments ecosystem.
We’re focused on building open, compliant, technology-first rails that help Ugandan businesses plug into global commerce — and help the diaspora move money home faster and more transparently.
