2 weeks ago I was asked to play in Scotland, in a beautiful castle for a wedding. The bride asked me for Bollywood music (which I feel very comfortable with), but for her entrance she sent me a video of an Indian violinist who plays the violin in the Indian classical way that is totally different from the western one (quarter of tones, glissandos and notes that for classical musicians can sound out of tune but in my opinion I find extremely fascinating)
The idea of this castle, this music, this place so far from London, that seemed to be in another world, was very interesting and intriguing but at the same time extremely hard to get, so I was almost going to give up, but then I said to myself, life is made of challenges and the hardest things to get are the most beautiful to have.
Inspired by Govind Vasantha Buff and his rendition of Jashne Bahaara, I composed my own version of it that I’m extremely happy to share with you.

Little by little, my project is also becoming a reality, that of playing beautiful music as a concertmaster. On this occasion, I would like to thank George Hlawiczka, conductor and founder of the London Concert Sinfonia, with whom we perform Valse Triste by J. Sibelius. As principal cello, there is also Maestro William Bruce (for 36 years Sub-Principal of the English National Opera), whom I greatly admire.

Yesterday was a special day: I played in the chapel of the Royal Foundation of St Katharine @rfsklondon . It has been an annual appointment for the past four years, and among the pieces I performed was Monti’s Czardas, to which I am very attached, as it was one of the first pieces I played in my childhood.
