I'm so happy we took on this project last year, so now we get to enjoy the space all summer long.
The deck's fresh coat and the revamped exterior were undeniably worth the effort. As for the rest of the backyard, the to-do list is a bit daunting, but hey, it's my 2024 mission, and I'm up for the challenge!

By the time everyone is finally settled, especially on movie nights, the last thing I want to do is get back up to open or close blinds. That’s one of the reasons motorised blinds have worked so well for us. Once everyone is sitting down, I can just open the app and close all the blinds at once without moving.
And at bedtime, instead of calling out “ten more minutes” while they’re reading in bed, the blinds do the talking. When they close, it’s the cue to start winding down without another reminder from me.
