Live and direct at Sofar Fringe Festival with the founder of Sofar, Rafe Offer @rafeoffer
More to come….. for now all you need to know is WE’RE ON FIRE 🔥🎶🎤🎸
Con permisaaaa! 😎💅
Gracias a cada persona que forma parte.
Esto no sería lo mismo sin ustedes 💛
From London to Mardel
We received a special message that says far more than words alone ever could 💌
Rafe, co-founder of Sofar Sounds, sent us a message.
A surprise that felt like a warm hug and reminded us that we’re part of something much bigger 🌍🎶
Sofar is about sharing in the simplest way.
It’s about coming together, looking each other in the eye, truly listening — all within a space of closeness and respect.
It’s music as a bridge, a hug, an excuse to create something real.
A network of people who believe in the present moment and the magic that happens when everything else fades away ✨
Knowing that from here, we’re sharing our city’s identity and shining a light on local and regional artists fills us with joy — because we love Mar del Plata!
Thank you Rafe for jumping in with this lovely message 🙌 It meant a lot to us.
And of course — we’re waiting for you in Mar del Plata with open arms, and naturally: mate 🧉, milanesas, asado… and maybe even a jam session on the beach! 🏖️🎸
Thank you to everyone who’s part of this.
It wouldn’t be the same without you 💛

“It all started in a living room in London in 2009…”
15 years later, we found ourselves in a living room in Berlin, sharing music, connection, and community—with Rafe, one of the co-founders of SoFar Sounds, who came all the way from London to be with us.
What a full-circle moment.
From Rafe, Rocky, Dave and the dream they sparked… to now—400 cities, countless magical nights, and still rooted in the intimacy of a living room.
Last night was beautiful. Thank you for the gift of SoFar Sounds and @rafeoffer for being there last night.
Yesterday we had the honour of a Frome visit from the founder of Sofar Sounds, Rafe Offer! We had so much fun! 🎵
Short for ‘Songs From A Room’, American-born Rafe started Sofar in 2009 in his living room in London as he was tired of going to gigs with people talking over the music and distracted by phones. Just eight friends were invited for the first low-key, intimate gig where guests listened respectfully and immersed themselves in the performances. It became clear that there was an appetite for this type of experience and Sofar now exists in over 400 cities all over the world, with a growing community and network of artists.
If you’ve never been to a Sofar before, this is the difference. Guests love a welcoming environment where they can really listen and musicians love the connection and respect they receive from the audience. And the quality is high across the board with artists travelling from across the globe or sometimes we invite our best homegrown talent also. You won’t know which three varied bands or artists you’ll see until they walk onto the pop-up stage - and you find out the venue address just 36 hours in advance.
Our next Sofar is on Tuesday 12th November at a secret location outside Radstock, about a 15 min drive from Frome. There are only 3 spots left at the time of writing so grab your 🎟️ from the link in the bio quickly!
And here’s the team LR: Sarah, Rafe, Gretel, Ed and AnnaDina. As with many Sofars across the globe, Frome’s is run by volunteers who do it for love! It really is so amazing and rewarding!

My eldest daughter Izzy (pictured) is focusing on her passion - photography! She does fashion, music, portraiture. Check her out @izzyoffer . And please try to support any young person put there looking for work or guidance during these strange and difficult times. Photo by @usown_
RECØ #5 I met @jakewesleyrogers when he played my living room. That night his epic voice and traversing melodies proved why he’s become the one Sofar staff obsess over.
RECØ #4 I met @adpianist when we were both speaking about music at an Apple store. she was the first classical musician to play Sofar. her genre-bending blend of classical, rock and more is so innovative!
RECØ #3 Talk about a voice! When @theautumnx played a Sofar at my house, I felt that my living room was the best place to be on Earth. Born in the Netherlands & living in London, show some love & support for her and other artists as best you can during this time.
RECØ #1 I started Sofar as a way to give artists another way to connect to music lovers. Years later, I've been blessed to meet so many incredible artists and build a community around them. With a pause in live events, I'm taking a moment to champion some of them.
I met @kyanmusic at a Sofar in Hampstead. A rare gem, full of soul and passion for his craft.
