I just want to say this first—I’m so grateful for the people who love on our kids and show up for us. Truly. Having someone you trust with your babies is everything
But whew… I had a moment today.
Watching how some families can just drop the kids off, go run errands, grab dinner, reconnect… it made me realize how different things look when you don’t have that built-in, close-by support.
Because when we want a date night, it’s:• $150–200 for a sitter• $200+ for dinner• another $100+ if we want to actually do something
And suddenly, connection starts to feel like a luxury instead of something you should be able to pour into regularly.
It made me miss something deeper than just help…I miss community.
The kind where women could say, “Go enjoy your night, I got the kids,”and you didn’t think twice about it because there was trust, closeness, and just… a village.
I’m not ungrateful—just aware of how much things have shifted.
And maybe… just maybe… we’re the generation that has to be intentional about rebuilding that again 🤍
