Big congratulations are in order for my friend Joe (@jlcheuvront ) as he graduates with his Executive MPH from @yale today! We photographed these headshots at the start of his program back in 2023. Joe works in public health and the world is better because Joe is in it. Joe’s husband Dan is an old friend of mine who I met when we were teenagers. I’ve had the honor of photographing them both over the years and they’ve been great supporters of me and my business. Congratulations, Joe!! You did it! You should be so proud. I’m excited for what’s next for you! 🫶🏻 👨‍🎓

Earlier this week I had a photo shoot with @melissacollazo_makeup 💗 Melissa and I have known each other for years, she was a MUA who I worked with early on in my career. She recently returned stateside after living and working in Egypt for a couple of years. When I lived in NYC, Melissa was one of my go to makeup artists I would work with when I visited Maryland. Melissa does beautiful work and is a kind, nurturing human. It was serendipitous that Melissa and I reconnected this year, after we had both settled back into Maryland living. I met Melissa at her home and we did a whole custom portrait session in her living room. We had Christin of @conceptualbeauty on set to do Melissa’s makeup, and to make sure her hair looked amazing throughout the shoot. I met a beautiful woman tonight who had gems and pearls in her hair and it reminded me of this shoot I did a few years back with @jilliangoins as the muse and @amandathesenbeauty on makeup and @gaby_hairstyles on hair. This vote will most likely happen sometime tomorrow, Thursday, January 29th but Republicans could do it at any time. The best way to call your Senators is to use 5calls dog org! It’s so easy and simple so get off this app now and call your Senators! This bill already passed the House so it’s time to reach out to your Senators! Yes, if the bill does not pass it this will cause a partial government but it won’t stop 🧊 from terrorizing our neighborhoods!!! We do not want funding for 🧊 to pass and John Thune is refusing to remove it from the full bill. It was previously a standalone budget bill.

Wow. It’s been quite a decade. The highlight reel above makes me smile and I think fondly of 2016. I moved in 3 different apartment sublets in the first 6 months of the year. I had no clue what I was doing, but I was determined to make it. I shot with almost every agency and networked with a small group of people I met online. Through that I met other creatives that I got to grow with over the last decade. I’m so grateful for the friends that embraced me and took a chance on the new kid in town. Some of them have become like family to me. We experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows that NYC gives you. My goal for 2026 is to find that drive again and make 2016 Travis proud of what he set out to do. Some accomplishments for me in 2016: - I shot with my first beauty client - I began working more consistently with NYC clients - I lived in a 4th floor walk up and my 🍑 and legs never looked better!! 🤣 - I had the opportunity to work with many new faces at top NYC agencies. It’s been a joy to watch so many of those models flourish! - I photographed 2 cover stories for 2 different client’s publications - I built my portfolio in the living room(s) of all the apartments I lived in. - My Mom and Sister visited me in December and I got to show them my life in NYC! - I had my first work trip to LA as a photographer - Lots of Karoake fun with @davenmayeda - So many fun creative shoots with @nataliabbeauty @etzelmakeup @adriana_andaluz and more!
