PRINTER SMASH! back again and this time we're raising money to get METALLIC GOLD! Saturday, May 16th 12 - 4 we are smashing a full sized Xerox Workcentre $1 baseball hit $3 byo implement hit $5 sledgehammer hit $20 go nuts! This event will be running through the duration of the WAACC run by @edisonneighborhood so check out all the events and art going on! this will be in the parking lot of the dormouse theatre. we'll have PPE and water. our shop will also be open to check out!

New exhibition handouts for my show at @saugatuck_arts ! These were printed down in Kalamazoo at the lovely @radriso . I’ve gotta thank Rory and Qynce for putting up with the tons of questions I had about the RISO! The two larger posters feature a series of prose developed as an initial world-building exercise and are free, take away prints as part of the exhibition. Throughout the duration of the show, these handouts will be slowly rolled out, coinciding with each act. The postcard is a two-color RISO print edition of 20 and is for sale at SC4A. Here are some words that populate my mind while trying to explain the show: BRANCHES, CACTI, WAVES, INDUSTRY, TRAINS, SMOKE, SAND, WATER, PLIGHT, BRASS, and DECAY. It’s been great to have the time and space to use my imagination. It feels like everyday it becomes harder to dream, but I’m keeping my hopes up. 🧊 melts.

Thrilled to be invited into this mural installation at @craftedcopperkzoo ! We were approached to do a hodge podge (though not mod podged) collage mural printing the images on our riso (with a few comic/zine/etc goodies sprinkled in) incorporating splashes of our available colors, and wheatpasting to create a stunning punk propaganda pop art wall. It was very fun to puzzle piece together and we're pleased with the results. Go check it out in person and see what you think! Lots of details to drink in. WOW! we're so excited for @monoformcinema 's bonus feature this month that our very own @qynceb made a poster for the occasion. What's so exciting is that Chicago director and transsexual film curator Henry Hanson ( @degeneracy_now ) will be in attendance for the q and a for this double feature screening of his two films Dog Movie and Puppygirl. Dog Movie has been described as "curb your enthusiasm but for tenderqueers." It's a semi improvised comedy about the inability to address conflict in a shared living space. It's embarrassingly relatable and so funny in a way that'll make you squirm a little. Puppygirl is an extremely new release, which Hanson has synopsized as "In this gonzo documentary, a semi-delusional trans woman (Milo Talwani) embarks on a shocking, bizarre, and oddly touching personal odyssey to undo years of sexual repression by performing in puppygirl fetish porn." Fri. Nov 14th Doors at 7, movies at 8. $5! We really couldn't be more thrilled to have a regional queer director come through to show his work, and that his work is so particularly fresh, bizarre and funny in a way that really resonates with us at Rad Riso, and we think it will for you too. (Side note, Thurs the 13th, Hanson's short film Bros Before will play before Nowhere, and it's the movie that got me hooked on his work, definitely don't miss either)

New printer alert! Our Workcentre has requested to rest, and so she has been replaced with a Xerox Altalink! Things are looking up for us in the realm of quick and easy CMYK printing. The riso is as always working like a charm. Come check it all out at next open print
