The Vernon chapter of #ChezQuoi is coming to a close sometime this summer, so took some time with the incredible @rachel.plotkin and her flawless eye for style to shoot a home that has been my little heaven for the past nine years. Well except for the first three years when it was kind of a POS. If anyone knows anyone who will be looking for an amazing Bed Stuy parlor level one bedroom (with private deck and shared oasis back yard) — give me a shout.
It's nearly 14 years for Home Revision NYC! I can remember when it felt like a raw space with all the bones sticking out, like I could fall through the floor at any moment.

The original stain color was unavoidably clashy and hid the woodgrain of the solid oak planks. The only answer was to sand and re-stain. To insure the new stain color complemented the interior design on every floor my client actually hand mixed her own beautiful blend of stain for the perfect greige wash.
