Small schedule change: The Cow Tag Sprint Enduro has moved from Sunday to Saturday September 12. The junior race will also still take place on the same day Please also bear with us as we update the series scores. Moving forward all racers will appear in the results, none RMEC annual members and those without eligibility will be dropped at the end of the season as in the past. For my information on how to earn a year end award please read our rulebook and FAQ at racermec.com

Kids race, too, at the Russo Modular Camp Wood Enduro! Three classes, 50s, 65s, and 85/Superminis. Three courses, one for each class. The 85/Superminis is a loop with a short transfer. ATR Sweep Riders will be on hand to escort, help, and ensure that no one gets lost. Super fun trails through the woods, with flowy singletrack, short hill climbs, creek crossings, and mildly technical enduro sections. Be sure to register early online on the AMRA website to secure your early poll position and to avoid long lines at registration. Hope to see you there!

ATR has fielded several inquiries about road conditions and camping for the Russo Modular Camp Wood Enduro staging and camping areas. Fair question. County 68 is an approximate 16 mile bladed-graded dirt road. It is regularly maintained and is currently in excellent condition. The road is suitable for trucks, camp trailers, RV’s of all kinds, diesel pushers, and even an occasional semi truck. The road is rolling terrain, and a slight uphill grade, with two short gradual hills. Keep the speeds slow to minimize dust and watch for oncoming traffic as there are several working ranches in the area, plus race traffic. The ATR gang regularly travels this road with all manner of camp trailers and RV’s. There is plenty of dispersed camping near the race admin site, and additional dispersed camping in the general areas. Many sites are large enough for multiple vehicles and/or large RV’s. The admin area fills up quickly so later arrivals should seek additional RV camping further west of Camp Wood proper off County 68, and there are some spots north of Camp Wood on Forest Road 95. We will do our best to sign camping areas. Camp Wood is remote, with no services. It is self sustained camping, pack in, pack out. Please keep the camp areas clean and please pack out your trash. The Prescott National Forest will be watching. There is limited cell service in Camp Wood proper, but service can be reached a short drive away. Mobile Starlink is the new thing and there will be many networks in the area for emergencies. We have contracted several portable-potties for the admin area. Bears, mountain lions, coyotes, bobcats, and rattlesnakes, plus all the other forest critters inhabit the area, including free-range cattle. Be careful while driving, keep watch over your pets and children, and watch where you are reaching. Use flashlights at night and DO NOT store food items inside tents or near outdoor sleeping areas! No need to be paranoid, rather, just stay alert. If you have any questions, please post up in the comments below. We will be monitoring. As a reminder, please do early registration at the AMRA website to avoid long delays at the race check in.
