Tuning Myth No - 3
Is lower ride height a good thing?
Not really if you are affecting the geometry and stancing your car dangerously.
1. Lowering springs - great stance and cheap but lots of downsides.
2. Indian jugaad - chopping springs and valving OEM dampers. Dangerous and unscientific.
3. Adjustable Coilovers - set them right and you are a champ. No downsides if you get the perfect balance of comfort and stiffness. Costs a bit more, but worth every penny. The only right choice to look right and ride right.
4. Airbags - Looks cool and ride height on fingertips by pressing buttons. But affects chassis geometry terribly, damages suspension components with heavy up and down articulation and they can all fail with fatigue. All cool to see but can end up bad. Perfect for show cars that never see daily roads.
Lowering a street car is not about slamming a car to the ground to look cool. Too high is bad and too low is bad too. How low is low, as low and long as you don't aggreviate bump steer, induce understeer, cause chassis imbalance and upset the dynamics. Now thats a huge responsibility. Which is better left to experts!
The next time you think of lowering your car for the sake of it for cheap, think of your life as an investment, if its worth losing to a cheap mod. A good handling car saves life, bad one takes it away.

Power kick!
This is our most powerful Suzuki K-series build. Bore and stroked, a proper thug of an engine. Over 140hp at crank and 130whp and peaks at 7200rpm.
And with our precise timing on our standalone ECU, we can shove a proper variable valve kick at around 6000rpm and its a proper jump. When most Suzuki K series engines die past 6000rpm, this one wakes up.
And with a bespoke aluminum intake manifold, larger throttle body and manual throttle system all developed inhouse, we have a one off build to ever exist with insane throttle response. All this on OEM valve train and camshaft and compression ratio.
And with all this, packs brutal performance that can shy the turbo counterparts.
This ignis remains a humble and cute car on the outside and a proper monster, inside. A better definition of sleeper, can't exist.

Tuning Myth No - 2
Airfilter.
Everyone thinks more air is more power. So knock the airbox off and put a filter and boom - lots of power!
Wrong.
Its the single most misleading theory and every airfilter company is misleading you into thinking so. The gains are after the filter. The resonance length that redefines everything to allow the air to enter the engine with a scientific value. Be it Naturally Aspirated or Turbocharged application.
Just like a loud exhaust, throwing away the airbox and listening to induction noises is mental horsepower gain. Not real.
Get engineered intake systems that give proper gains and thats where the reel performance stops and real performance of all Race Concepts Intake systems start.
Validated performance is real performance.
An airfilter upgrade is the cheapest starting point to tuning but can make or break performance if it isn't the right one.

Myth No 1 - Exhaust system.
Are all exhausts - reel or real in terms of performance, lets find out!
An exhaust system needs to make power, not sound powerful. Even a broken exhaust sounds loud and that doesn't mean it delivers real world gains. A well tuned exhaust system is scientifically designed and validated. Reel exhaust, well certainly not and that means, its not good for you!
Sound is perspective and performance is real. Reel performance can make a lot of noise. The recent trend of cars getting caught by authorities in various cities with exhaust hooligansim is sheer disgrace to the Tuning community. While the real enthusiasts are trying to clean the Tuning image and keep it classy, the reel heroes are ruining it entirely in the name of revving wars, dangerous college meets, car shows thats related to a lot noise and pom and completely ruining the car culture. And it all starts with an illogical exhaust system thats built to trick people in believing that it gives power gains. And with a few outfits employing talented content creators, reels can make reel performance become unreal and turn bad products to epic desirable Tuning parts. The reality is the opposite.
In the end, good cars are getting ruined and the entire Tuning and Motorsport community is getting negative brownie points.
Real performance can be silent and effective and promotes clean car culture. Reel performance with pops and bangs and Rev banging, is sheer disgrace to the car culture. Pick your choice and stand for whats right and not real!
