It’s been very quiet on the waterway and riverbank of The Trent this week. After a weekend like that, the silence feels a bit odd, if we’re honest.
We hope you’re all home safely, still wearing those medals with pride, and still talking about it, telling friends, family, colleagues what you just went and did in Nottingham.
Because it deserves to be talked about. Forgot the London Marathon it's all about the Castle Marathon 😜

Following my early morning plein-air session last weekend, I have finished the two oil paintings I started at the Wilford suspension bridge, here in the studio, as both found a buyer at the event.
Here they are with other pictures featuring the River Trent at Stoke Bardolph and Newark Castle to make a series about the @race2thecastle paddleboarding event.
