@everydayisjuneteenth Regina Jackson, born in Chicago in 1950, remembers an America with violence perpetrated by white people on innocent people going about their lives.
Burned into her memory are: the beatings and horrific treatment of civil rights workers throughout the South, the murder of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the murder of President John Kennedy.
It is these memories that drove Regina, along with Saira Rao, to:

▪️co-produce the Deconstructing Karen documentary
▪️co-author “White Women: Everything You Already Know About Your Own Racism and How to Do Better.”

Felt this needed to be said again as far too many non-Black folks are using lowercase b’s when referring to Black people.
