Are you passionate about independent journalism and progressive change in Canada? rabble.ca, a nonprofit championing diverse, independent voices for 24 years, is seeking new Board Members!
We’re looking for visionary leaders with experience in independent media, nonprofit management, financial oversight, or board governance—especially those committed to equity, inclusion, and progressive values. Lived experience within Black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+, racialized, or disability communities is a strong asset. We encourage applications from across Canada, especially outside Ontario and Quebec.
As a volunteer Board Member, you’ll:
- Attend meetings every 4-8 weeks
- Support fundraising and outreach
- Oversee finances and governance
- Serve as an ambassador for rabble.ca
- Join or chair a board sub-committee (HR, Finance, Fundraising, Governance)
- Help recruit and onboard new members
