Climate change is a complex topic filled with uncertainties, making it essential to explore through scientific evidence and tools. One such tool is @climatefresk , an engaging and interactive activity that presents climate science in a dynamic, collaborative way. While exploring SDG 13- #climateaction, our program participants engaged in Climate Fresk to delve into the science of climate change, from its causes to its environmental, social, and economic consequences. This exercise provided them with a comprehensive view of the topic and offered a space to express their feelings and perspectives on the topic. Our climate change workshop was an inspiring journey of connecting the dots between SDG 13: Climate Action and other critical Sustainable Development Goals. We explored how addressing climate change directly influences goals like SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. The message was clear: climate action is not just about protecting the environment—it’s about building a healthier, fairer, and more resilient world for all. Through engaging discussions with 40 participants from governmental schools in Alexandria, we highlighted the deep interconnectedness of our global challenges and how every action we take toward sustainability has a ripple effect across all SDGs. The passion and commitment of these young participants remind us that by empowering them with knowledge, we are shaping a generation of changemakers ready to lead with responsibility and vision. Together, we can tackle the climate crisis and build a future that is equitable, sustainable, and full of hope. Focusing on SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, our Day 2 workshop focused on promoting sustainable practices and efficient resource use. The workshop explored practical approaches to achieving sustainable production and consumption, examining how individuals, businesses, and governments can contribute to a more resource-efficient and environmentally friendly future. This goal is essential to building a sustainable world by balancing the needs of economic growth with environmental protection and social well-being. Through this workshop, participants engaged in a hands-on exploration of production supply chains and life cycle assessments for various products. They examined each stage of the product life cycle while identifying potential sustainable interventions, gaining a deeper understanding of how to incorporate sustainability into production processes.
