A 16mm experimental shot nine years ago, when I was still a teenager — marking my transition from self-portrait photography to video. Developed with guidance from Gustavo Jan at the Cinematheque, Cairo. Leaving it here for that little dreamy girl who believed in creating what she feels and still fighting to do.
Grateful and proud to have been part of this journy as a 2nd AC, working alongside the legendary @guyritchie !, the brilliant DoP @edwilddop , @niallde the amazing centeral loader and 10 other amazing camera crew members. Honored to have contributed to Fountain Of Youth , produced by @applefilms 🎥✨
Raghda’s artistic practice is a sort of research, exploring the dynamics of “attraction” and
“repulsion”. It circles around indoor spaces, spontaneity, intimacy, femininity, connections,
and relationships. The participating artwork is a special edition, involving painting on a special edition photograph created in 2024, based on the original photographic artwork ‘Orange Roses’ from 2019. This artwork embodies a cohabitation with space, capturing a spontaneous composition of daily life framing the spontaneity of interactions within indoor environments.
