I am deeply honoured to announce my participation as a mentor in the next course from @qvarantine.events : Purgatory for Artists – Hunter’s Moon.
 This ’art retreat’ will take place between October 19 to 25, 2026, in Menorca, Spain. This is not a workshop in the traditional sense, it is something far more raw and personal. Each participant will have the opportunity to choose their mentor from a remarkable group of artists and figures deeply connected to the art world, making the experience truly personal and intentional from the very beginning.

👁️ ⏭️ 🔥 So I’ve been avoiding posting about my recent time at @qvarantine.events because, as I settle back in at home and catch up on all the things, I’m starting to process the impact this ‘non-art school/not quite workshop, not quite residency’ had on me. And I wish I was back on the island so badly. I’m slow to process my emotions, you see. 😉 I’ll keep this short** and to the point; I spent the first 3 days on the island thinking I was in over my head, “I don’t belong here, I should give up my pursuit of art again,” and “I’m nowhere near as good as my fellow cohort mates”. By the 4th day/morning, things clicked. I didn’t ruminate on my doubts or fears as much. Hugely from mentors and other artists sharing their own fears and thoughts from their inner critic and then some. It was comforting. But anywhooodle, each surprise exercise/challenge is formulated to psychologically tweak you and set ablaze your judgements + expectations about the end result so you learn to just MOVE ALONG. Hesitation? Who is she? I felt ideas come with more ease after years of forgetting how to reconnect with my creative self and, as I prepare for upcoming art shows at home, I am deeply grateful for what I learned from my fellow Quarantiners, the brilliant mentors, our ethereal models, and the masterminds behind this Anti-Art School.
