AI ain’t got nothin’ on you, babe. 😘 It can’t tell the specific stories you’ve lived. It can’t feel the emotions of the clients you care about. It can’t speak in that quintessentially YOU voice, the way you chitchat with friends over DWTS and a big bag of SkinnyPop. (It can try, but it’ll sound… awkward. Like that neighbor who hears the party happening and invites themselves over to hang.) ChatGPT can help you brainstorm, research, and refine your copy. But when it comes to crafting copy that creates emotion… that’s best left to someone who can actually feel it. 🧡

What’s your website saying? …Anything? You probably have SOME words on your site, but what do they actually tell your audience? The best website copy conveys… ✔️ What you do ✔️ Why it matters ✔️ Who you serve ✔️ How to get started …all in a way that’s engaging enough to grab your clients’ attention, succinct enough to keep it, and thorough enough to answer all their questions (or at least the ones standing in the way before they reach out). Mother’s Day used to remind me of the mom I lost. Then the mom I gained. Then the child I lost. Then the children I’ve gained. I share these complicated feelings because I know a post like this could come across insensitive, which is not my intent. I feel similarly about Mother’s Day as I do about Christmas Eve, the day my mom passed in 2003: that while the holiday makes me sad, it also makes me happy. And I choose to be thankful for all I do have. Like all the incredible mother figures I’ve been blessed to have. My two healthy, hilarious boys. And these seven ways (among many) they’ve made me better, in business and, of course, in life. Whether you are a mom, are *like* a mom, have a mom, or know a mom…   I hope you’re able to find some love and thankfulness today. –@sarahklongerbo

Last week was one of my (@sarahklongerbo ’s) first weeks with no VIP Days all year. And omggg, did I work. 😄 Just by clearing ONE task from my plate, I was able to accomplish so many others. Even more than the productivity, I appreciated the sense of peace — the feeling of freedom to work ON the business instead of IN it. Did you use AI to help write your website copy? If so, we can probably tell. 😬 And, increasingly, so can your clients. The ChatGPT fatigue is real. It’s Friday. You’ve had a long week. Ain’t no way you’re cooking your own three-course meal tonight. Takeout it is… That’s your clients’ mindset when they’re scrolling at 10 p.m. and stumble upon your content, tap to your profile, then tap back when they see 10 different links in your bio. It’s YOUR mindset when you’ve stared at that Google doc for far too long, second-guessing every word and wishing someone else would just take it to the finish line. There’s a name for this sad psychological state: decision fatigue. And it’s costing you clients. And energy. Don’t give your audience too many choices, or they won’t make any. Don’t give *yourself* too many choices. Here’s your permission to lighten your mental load. Hire the copywriter, book the paint job, order Chinese. You’ll feel lighter… at least mentally. 🥡
