it’s crazy to think at the beginning of this year i told my circle that i’m done rapping 🤣 niggas know to just let me get my rocks off but i was really tryna stand on it, hence why my most recent release (Retired Love) got that 70s feel .
the initial statement came from a place of wanting to explore MUSIC even more than i already have . i tend to fixate on rapping even though i have been playing trumpet since i was 8- if you don’t do both than you’ll never grasp how hard it is to respect them both equally and utilize them to the same capacity . word mf 2 da divine .
that being said, instead of picking one or the other (i know that shit sounds crazy) ima double down on both cuz i love gambling on myself and i will continue to create WHAT i THINK are the best hybrids between my 2 loves . once the hybrids are to a standard i deem timeless MAYBE we’ll separate them and strive for timelessness in there separate respected fields OR maybe not 🤷🏿♂️
Finding my topics and lane as a rapper has been relatively difficult when i don’t look at it thru the same lens as “jAzZ” .
the simple solution to my issue is to drop more sonics .

i saw a tag under a bridge that said, “free your soul” and i thought about what that really meant to me … might be a lil too prolific for a friday at 1PM but after not even a minute of the slightest contemplation i realized it’s simple . my soul is most free when i use the tool that chose me 🎺 flow state is honestly an understatement to describe the places i go when i free my soul . eternally grateful to be introduced to my calling at such a young age and pat on my own back for remaining disciplined enough to reap the benefits of moving through portals . appreciative that the Live Jazz LA platform allows me to allow us to create and experience light magic .
