The Porsche 917 was built in just 10 months to meet new racing rules, powered by a 4.5L flat-12 with 580 hp and weighing only 800 kg.
It was not build just for fun. 917 mission was simple: Win Le Mans.
After years of chasing the overall victory, Porsche finally made it happen in 1970 with updated version. The 917 K took the victory in 24H LM.
Being a part of Porsche family is indescribable. I will never forget this day at Berlin.
