Donyae is the Camp Administrative Coordinator, and this will be her first summer at Camp Thunderbird.
Most looking forward to: I'm especially looking forward to meeting the campers and their parents in person this summer. I've truly enjoyed connecting with families over the phone, answering their questions, helping with registration, and hearing meaningful stories they've already shared. Those conversations have made me all the more excited to finally meet everyone and be part of their camp experience.
What makes Camp Thunderbird special? Even though this will be my first summer, what makes Camp Thunderbird special to me is being part of a community that creates an inclusive, supportive, and fun environment where everyone can fully participate and feel valued. The opportunity to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and help create meaningful, fun experiences for them is what makes this camp unique and impactful.

Meet Meggie!
Meggie is the Camp Director, and this will be her 4th summer at Camp Thunderbird.
Most looking forward to: Watching the guests make friends and creating unforgettable memories. The energy, the laughter, and the chaos are what make camp a special place.
Favorite camp activity: Campfires. Growing up at Girl Scout Camp, both as a camper and staff, the closing campfire was always one of my favorite memories. There is something about everyone slowing down, sharing stories, singing songs, and being together and present in the moment. One of my favorite camp songs ends with the line "This is goodnight and not goodbye." The memories and friendships made at camp will last a lifetime.
What makes Camp Thunderbird special? Camp Thunderbird is special because people come together for all aspects of life to create a safe, fun, and compassionate environment, where everyone can be themselves. Though you start the summer as strangers, you end the summer as part of the Camp Thunderbird Family.

We are getting ready for an unforgettable summer, and our four cozy cabins can’t wait to welcome you! 🏠 Each of our four cabins has its own unique mascot and a gorgeous mural. The murals were painted in 2024 and have become a beloved part of our camp’s personality.

Feelin’ crafty? 🎨 Camp guests at Camp Thunderbird can choose from a variety of activities, including arts and crafts.
