Today is your 72nd bday and there’s nothing more that I’d wish for than you to be here to see your grandchildren and great grand baby. They’re already spoiled but it would be so much worse. What I wouldn’t give for another conversation, sharing your love and wisdom that transcends timelessly. Life hasn’t been the same and it never will be. Happy Birthday to the greatest to do it! We love and miss you every moment of every day.
If there’s anyone who you can’t tell me anything about it’s my sisters, Gena and Chrystal Quest. The epitome of my brother’s keeper. The car stopped on me late last night. Chrystal is a nurse who typically works 12hrs a day, 6 days a week! She didn’t hesitate when I called her at the last minute this morning to bring the kids to school. She immediately came from the Algiers to Metairie to make it happen! Today was Grandparents Day at Chris’s preschool. My mom wasn’t feeling well, yet I didn’t want him to be the kid with no representation. Last minute again, I call Gena who was doing a million and one things but dropped every thing immediately to be there with her nephew. Just two small examples of many. Last minute, in an hour, tomorrow, next week, next year, whenever… they’re there! Always standing 10 toes behind me. Which is why there’s nothing you can tell me about them and nothing they can’t get from me! I hope they know that I love and appreciate them more than can be put into words!
