Join us in supporting our friends in Palestine with trauma-informed somatic healing classes for women & girls. Psychology Spa is a mental health clinic that provides counseling and workshops for the community in Bethlehem in the West Bank. Through the arts, theater, movement, counseling and yoga, the community continues to resist the longtime apartheid regime and military occupation, the ongoing genocide, and most recently, a massive ground invasion in the West Bank. With this mutual aid fund shift, we aim to move $5000++ to Psychology Spa to support their current programing. We are grateful to continue to be in community with PS and are committed to transformative, relational giving practices that extend beyond geographic and non-profit boundaries. This year we will be joined by Nikki Morse from @ismpalestine . Nikki will share their recent experiences doing protective presence work in the West Bank as we wrestle with what collective accountability looks like as anti-zionist Jews in this moment. Queer Mikveh Buddies: In the spirit of deepening webs of interconnection among queer anti-zionists, you're invited to sign up for Queer Mikveh Buddies. For those who opt in, we will pair you with a buddy based on what you're seeking in a new connection. You will be paired with your buddy for break out rooms during the event, and given the opportunity to share daily reflections leading up to the High Holidays. Join Queer Mikveh Project for our monthly Full Moon Mikveh; a monthly gathering to soften, heal, build community and strengthen collective resilience through somatic grounding, creative expression, ritual and connection. This month we'll gather with the fullness of the Tammuz moon. Tammuz -- the month where the sun shines its brightest -- where our ancestors lived in the precarity of the unknown -- will the sun burn up all our crops? Will we grow enough food to survive the winter? Will we grow enough collective power to survive climate chaos? This Tammuz we are present with the horrific precarity that the people of Palestine, Iran, and every place on this planet that is touched by the destructive forces of colonialism, capitalism and environmental racism. As we open to grief for the unfathomable loss and suffering, we will join together to express our grief and our longing for communion. We will transmute our grief into spiritual and material support for the people of Palestine. We will generate blessings for protection, and mutual aid towards surviving the precarity of Israel-made famine. We'll learn together and dig into questions of Indigenous solidarity and eco-stewardship in diaspora. In our time together, we'll take a moment to ground, engage in close text study, discuss and produce reflective texts to continue to share the ideas broadly in interpretation. April 9, 2025 4pm-6pm PST / 7pm-9pm EST Zoom This month, we've invited our friends Imani Altemus-Williams, Rabbi Koach Baruch Frazier and Arielle Tonkin to join us for a JOC-led ritual, tapping into the liberatory themes of Pesach as we welcome in intersections with all our lineages. Imani Altemus-Williams is a freelance writer and emerging documentary producer, who is passionate about collecting stories that illustrate the collective experiences of colonized peoples. Rabbi Dr. Koach Baruch Frazier is a healer, musician and co-founder of Tzedek Lab, a network of practitioners working at the intersection of dismantling racism, antisemitism, and white supremacy. Arielle Tonkin is an artist and educator. Arielle's artwork, rooted in painting and social practice, centers intra-faith and interfaith healing through exhibitions, performances, and workshops. Collaging Joy is this Wednesday, March 12th! This event is also a mutual aid fundshift! @psychology_spa is a holistic mental health clinic in Bethlehem. Funds from this event will go directly to psychology spa to support their spring programming. They have also used collage as a method of arts-based expression, relaxation, and self-exploration for their community <3 What’s happening now in the West Bank? ~800+✅points now further limiting movement ~Destruction of infrastructure ~40K displaced from Jenin & Tulkarem areas ~Attacks on mosques during Ramadan ~Ongoing settler violence & home demolitions ~“Gazafication” is already happening As we move into Purim, a time of Jewish joy and revelry, we must not lose track of the reality of the occupation, the ongoing genoc!de, & the crimes being committed by isrl in the name of Jews & Judaism.
