When I tell you this day was a movie, I mean it. Full of city wide black outs, streets shut down, and snipers. Yeah, snipers.
Remember the black out that happened in San Francisco on December 20th? Happened the same day as their wedding. Not only did their hotel and wedding venue lose power but there was a man holing up in a room several floors below us. So while we were getting ready you could see snipers on the roof across from us.
Running across the city in the dark once we got the clear to at least have the ceremony at the venue, we all rushed over where their guests were waiting. Words cannot describe how incredible the energy was on this evening. Everyone cheering for the couple when they arrived.
The ceremony was unexpectedly hosted on the main staircase of the Asian Art Museum, but it couldn’t have been more picturesque. Lion dancers then filled the lobby as we partied downstairs for an hour. Until everyone raced across the bridge to a warehouse in east bay to party all night.
Sometime your day isn’t what you expected, but at the end of the day it’s that all the people you love most are there to support and celebrate you. Party hard always folks.
