QCC was ecstatic to host its final event of the Student Workforce Readiness Program at Queens College, the Student to Business Networking Mixer. The Chamber invited professionals from its partners in the Clean Energy sector to mingle with the students, speaking about their career journeys, what they do day-to-day in their roles, and opportunities for students and new grads. In addition to networking, the program acted as a graduation ceremony for the student participants. The Chamber congratulated the students on their hard work, passion, and dedication to building a foundation for their post-graduation careers. They took agency in their own future by attending these events during their Free Hour and demonstrated long-term planning. The students received certificates for completing the program, signed by Chamber President & CEO Tom Grech. Finally, Hydro-Quebec Senior Director Peter Rose highlighted why the clean energy industry is such an exciting field to work in now more than ever.
