My heart is shattered upon hearing the devastating news of our dear sister, Jamama Workar’s passing. This is a painful death of a beautiful soul and It is hard to accept that someone so dear, so full of life, is no longer with us. My soul aches for her family, her friends, and everyone whose lives she touched with her kindness and warmth. The pain of this loss is immeasurable, and no words can truly ease the sorrow we feel. But in our grief, may we find strength in the love she shared and the memories that will forever live in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with all who mourn this heartbreaking loss. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

As we celebrate the month of love and affection, I want to remind everyone that love is what we need as a country to move Mama Liberia forward. We must love our nation and one another. Liberia has been a founding member of the United Nations since 1945 and has served on the UN Security Council only once, in 1961, when it shared a two-year term with the Republic of Ireland. I urge all Liberians to come together and support Liberia’s bid for a seat on the UN Security Council for the 2026-2027 term. Let’s set aside our organizational, religious, tribal, and political differences and use every available channel to advocate for Mama Liberia. I would like to congratulate the President of Liberia, H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., the Senate Pro Tempore, the current and former Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and Rev. My deepest sympathy on the passing of the late U.S. President James Earl Carter, Jr., whom I fondly knew as Jimmy Carter. It is with a heavy heart that I write this message. President Carter was one of my greatest sources of inspiration and support. Through his remarkable organization, The Carter Center, he extended invaluable assistance to my organization, the Liberia Crusaders for Peace, particularly in advancing efforts for peace and democratic processes in Liberia. The Carter Center played a crucial role in supporting peacebuilding initiatives in Liberia, contributing to both conflict resolution and strengthening the country’s democratic framework. The center’s work in Liberia, especially during and after the Liberian Civil War, helped create pathways for peace and stability, aligning with the mission of my organization to promote lasting peace and human dignity. President Carter’s legacy is defined by his compassion, service, and dedication to improving lives around the world. I am profoundly grateful to have experienced his encouragement and belief in my potential. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his remarkable contributions to Liberia and the world never be forgotten.
