Last month I told @mommy_n_ry_lifts an idea I had. Something of a tip of the hat. A nod to a colleague, a peer, a legend in the sport. Not in a simple thank you way but something meaningful. To recognize from the community the efforts and achievements of others. Provide a way to let people know that what they were apart of was significant. And sometimes to remember that we need a memento. I've been working tirelessly on Barpath 15,18-20 hour days. Hell I went to bed at 4:30AM and woke up at 8 today and back to work. All for something I believe in. So this little part of what I'm working on means ALOT to me personally. This is a small token of appreciation to @queenbeepower to the people involved, to the history. Truth be told I don't know if Heidi and I would have ever met in person and just stayed online friends if it wasn't for going to the women's pro-am in 2024. This is a completely free public achievement on Barpath awarded to all the lifters of the weekend. I imported the meet from liftingcast as soon as it was finished and got to work. It's taken some time about 220 hours of work but here we are. So all you have to do is go to your Barpath lifter page and you will see it. So thank you to all the ladies and people who inspired me to do something I love to do most which is do meaningful things. Things that have purpose, things that can be remembered. After all, our memories is the only thing we get to take until the end lord willing. To lose them is a worse fate than death itself. Cheers Greeno - Barpath

It’s pretty well known that if you’re going to work with me, you’re going to work. The volume is high. But the real volume lies in the special exercises. The ones who benefit, are the ones who do them. The key to the long game is work capacity. This is a sample Max Effort Upper workout with basic equipment. Results based on the effort and intensity you put in. @westsidebarbellofficial Link in bio to subscribe to @team_qbp programming, or to email via my website for coaching.

In 2012, this meet was born out of something simple…a need I saw. A need for women to be showcased. A place where they could step onto a platform as professionals, to be recognized, to be rewarded, and to be taken seriously for the work they put in day after day. At the time, I didn’t know we were building something special. I didn’t know we were creating something that would grow into what this has become. All I knew was that we were having fun. That there was energy in the room. That something felt different. And somehow, year after year, it grew. It became something people looked forward to. Something they planned their seasons around. Something they fought to be a part of. For many of you, it became a highlight of your year, and that is something I will never take lightly. What started as an idea became a community. A standard. A stage where women could not only compete, but truly be seen. This has been my gift to the sport. But the truth is, it was never just mine. It has always belonged to every lifter who competed, every person who helped behind the scenes, every spotter/loader, judge, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who believed in what this could be. And now, as we bring it to a close, it’s hard for me not to feel like I’m taking something away. But I don’t see it that way. I’m not taking this from you, I’m giving it to you. I’m passing forward the responsibility to continue what made this special in the first place. Not necessarily by recreating this exact meet, but by carrying the spirit of it into everything you do. I hope each and every one of you finds your own way to give back to this sport. It doesn’t have to be something big. It doesn’t have to be a competition or a title or a platform. Sometimes the most important impact is in the small things; the way you encourage someone, the way you show up for others, the way you make this sport a better place just by being in it. Be kind to each other. Support each other. Remember that this is just one chapter in your life, but it’s one you get to enjoy, so have fun with it. Because at the end of the day, that’s what this was always about. THANK YOU ALL, I LOVE YOU 🤍 📸 @adamrivera31

How do you build a legacy for women? By creating a place where they can be seen. You encourage them on the days they are not sure they belong. You remind them they are capable of more than they think. You stand beside them long enough for them to believe in themselves. You gave women more than a platform. Laura, you gave us a voice. You gave us a space where strength was not just noticed but celebrated. You showed all of us what it looks like when women choose to lift each other up instead of standing alone. What you started 14 years ago became so much bigger than a powerlifting meet. You created something that made women feel stronger long before they ever stepped onto the platform. You changed this sport. But more than that, you changed people. There are so many women who are better because you believed this deserved to exist. Thank you for what you built. And thank you for what you gave all of us. 🫶🩷 🎥 Fearless Films built on making everyone feel like a someone.

Decided to do a last-minute THANK YOU project for @queenbeepower With the help of some undercover spies, I was able to get her shoe size & go to work. [Thanks @leahreichman !] Laura has given so much to the powerlifting community. In my 2nd year of powerlifting, she & @jaffestrength helped our gym run it's 1st meet, and then held a super informative clinic for us the next day. That was my 1st interaction with her. She's been hosting meets for the last 16 years, 14 of which have included the Cincinnati Women's ProAm. The ProAm has been otherworldly. It's sacred, even. 2 days of women showing off their strength. A spotlight that often is dimmed in strength sports...honestly, sports in general. I've had the pleasure of competing these last 2 years. By far, my favorite meets! As a token of appreciation, I created these shoes for her. #handpaintedsneakers #paintedbyapowerlifter #custompaintedshoes #sneakersaddict #2026womensproam

I had a lot of feelings this weekend, and I wasn’t ever even a participant of this meet, but I always felt very connected to it through @candace_woj It was all the best parts of the sport of powerlifting and none of the bad. But now it’s over, but the belief that it started and spread will never die. You’ve got to believe is something, and if you believe enough, it will spread and if it spreads far enough for long enough, it won’t be a belief anymore, it will be truth. 14 years ago women didn’t have a place in powerlifting or strength sports at all. Now they do because people like @queenbeepower and Louie Simmons believed. They believed in women, and now everyone does. So if you do anything, believe. Thank you Laura!
