2025 was a deeply challenging year for me. I had to face up to some hard truths about myself, my life, my career, and who I thought I would be at this point in my life versus the reality of who and where I am. At times, I felt like I was on fire, as though something was burning away and I was faced with the fear of not knowing what would be left after the fire was done with me. I still don’t know the answer to that. All I can do is look back at the last year, or last few years and try to see the good moments in them- and despite the darkness, there were may wonderful moments and I am grateful for all of them. For 2026, May I continue to grow, to change, to meet challenges with equanimity, grace and humour, to love openly even when it scares me, to look outwards and work towards a better world, not just a better self, and to place creativity at the very centre of my life. Thanks to everyone for the love, laughter, chats and support #2026

On the B.C. bucket list was Sasquatch Museum in Bigfoot heartland of Harrison Hot Springs. The Sasquatch is probably an anglicised version of the Sts’ailes First Nations word ‘Sasq’ets’, meaning ‘hairy man’, and is a spiritual being that can appear and disappear into the spirit realm. They are considered sacred and guardians of the forest…. And I think they’re neat! Cheers to @astoria_enthusiast for bearing with me as I tracked down every Sasquatch in town!
