My cousin came back from the mountain/initiation school a few days ago. He’s Ndebele so they only do this once in four years. I decided to document the ceremony of their arrival back into society as men!
I’ll share more content in the next few days. Shoutout to my friends who helped me shoot and put this together.

The story of the KFC missing R2 is the biggest unanswered question in the food industry. To debunk that stigma, my approach was to do a re-interpretation of twitter/social media. Which is why our characters are a bit more bold, loud and slightly exaggerated, matching it to the same tone of social media.
The whole ad in essence is a clap back responding to the theories that people had about where that R2 goes to. I wanted to create South African archetypal characters and nuances, each scene and character was crafted to mimic GIFS, very short, direct, funny and you don’t need to hear them to understand what’s happening in the scene. Making our “Clap back” to be more Bold, Funny and Memorable.
